Current Affairs in-house FCP-based Editing Systems

We worked with Apple Australia to bid for, win, install and design workflow for serveral multi-million dollar FCP-based editing systems to replace the ABC’s Current Affairs editing systems.
Large systems
Systems were installed to handle up to 30 fibre-attached editing clients and over 100TB of storage in high-availability configurations. We installed 2 Qlogic 9200 series fibre switches and HyperStacked™ providing 256 4G fibre channel ports.
Multi site
The editing systems were installed across the country using a single SOE on over 50 editing workstations. During the initial 3-months handover period we support all sites including Perth from Sydney over the internet.
